I tend to not sit still long, traveling as often as I can. Peru was the last big adventure in April 2008. White water rafting in June. Been mountain biking TONS, all over Florida. The Beginning of Return

So back in late December I made my first two jumps since my accident in Colorado at the CPC Championships. They did NOT go well, seeing as how I had been on bed rest for 3 months and although my pelvis was technically considered "healed", the rest of my body was still trying to "play catch up". It took all I had to flair let alone try my normal 270. Frustration flooded me but I took a step back, worked my butt off in the gym the last two months and decided to try a few more jumps this weekend. I… Continue

Questions of the Mind...

Have you ever stopped, for one reason or another, and thought about the direction your life is going and/or where you wish it to continue? I have had this conversation with myself many times since my accident in August. Some things are clear to me, some things are not and I'm just not sure where my next step will take me. One thing I know, skydiving is a part of me. It's not just something I love to do, I feel it is a part of nearly every breath I take. I can't imagine what my days would be like… Continue

Yeah well since I am sorta down and out right now not thinking I'll be on anyones arm (need both my arms for the crutches) but I'm always happy for company, if sitting on a couch is your thing (which it is SO NOT mine ). Are we neighbors? And how the hell old are you? My house is in shambles also since roomie is moving out and dad just arrived for a month long stay (yet is now in the Bahamas for 2 weeks - which is where I am also supposed to be diving at so I'm sorta "mad at the world"...) but hey, if you want to bring the pizza, I got the beer ;o).

That is terrible. Either you are the unluckiest person alive or you need to change some habits and find some new hobbies like jigsaw puzzles. lol... What did you do to the ACL? I had that issue last year, do whatever the doc says because I didn't and I am still paying for it.
I am so sorry to hear you won't be jumping. I go through withdrawals when I can't be in the air. Luckily the Army keeps me under canopy. I also have a ski trip this November and surfing in Costa Rica in March. So so nice distractions from jumping. Sooooo next question, since I won't be meeting you at the DZ anytime soon, you oughtta have dinner with me this weekend. I mean that is if you don't mind cougaring around with a shiny younger man on your arm. :D

Holy crap - I just found all these comments. I haven't been spending much time on the computer and I seemed to forget people might actually want to talk to me.... I am so sorry, to you and everyone, who dropped a little note and I totally left ya hanging. I will try to be better moving forward. Now let me try and catch up. Talk soon....xo, D
