I just got a note that one of the musicians passed away, Ron Dilg. His family in New York is having a mucical memorial.
I just thought of the last time i saw him. I was cooking spagetti in my trailer when he wondered through my camp.
We shared a meal and conversation and he left.
That was the last time I was to see him.
Not to take for granted chance meetings connections and thank the Gods for this breath. Continue

Some ask why, some ask how
Truth is all I know, it’s making sense to me and mine
That it’s time to hit the road
So I try. And I wait
Something’s got to give and something has got to break
I’ve waited for this moment, nothing left to give
I’m closing in on the footsteps outside almost in
I've waited for this moment..."Moment"-Midnight to Twelve

Just a quick post, as I'm still grinning to hard to type to much (it's effecting my vision!). I did my first skydive today, with the red devils in Netheravon. It was a tandem from about 13,500 ft, which included the most exhilirating 55 second freefall. i loved that soooo much! I was first out of the plane, and surprised myself how nervous I wasn't. It was just a surreal but awesome experience and I would urge anyone to it. You simply must tick this off your to do list.
Added bonus was that I r… Continue

On broken wings I'm falling
And it won't be long
The skin on me is burning
By the fires of the sun
On skinned knees
I'm bleeding
And it won't be long
I've got to find that meaning
I'll search for so long"Broken Wings" (Alter Bridge)
I'd originally planned on saying nothing more about my recovery, but the past week has been nothing short of miracles. I had my first visits with a new physical therapist, who measured me at the outset as having 8 degrees of extension and 40 degrees o… Continue

Please help if you can! My mother-in-law and I want to run in the 1/2 marathon on December 6 in Las Vegas to support the Chrone's and Colitis Foundation for research on awareness and possibly a cure. My mother-in-law is and has been a victim to this disease for too long. If you know anything about Chron's disease, you know that it is not something that you would ever want for anyone you love. This is our first 1/2 marathon - 1st running event ever for us...She has promised to pledge $3900 to thi… Continue

"I don't know how else to put this.
It's taking me so long to do this.
I'm falling asleep and I can't see straight.
My muscles feel like a melee,
My body's curled in a U-shape.
I put on my best, but I'm still afraid.
I get to go home in one week.
But I'm leaving home in three weeks.
They throw me a bone just to pick me dry.
I'm following suit and directions.
I crawl up inside for protection.
I'm told what to do and I don't know why."

If I could just go back in time
Wouldn't change a damn thing in my life
Love the dumb things we do when we're young
But the best is yet to come..

An ambulance was used to transport me from the Intermountain Medical Center to the HealthSouth rehabilitation facility. The biggest challenge was getting the arms off the wheelchair. My scrotum had swollen after the accident, to the point that it was the size of a cantelope. The arms on the wheelchair forced my legs together, which re… Continue

Ha Ha (nervous laugh)!. I've done it. If you don't know what I'm on about, I'll enlighten you.
For a while now I've been talking about signing up for a sponsored Sky Dive, in support of our friends at the RNLI Life Guards. Well, rather than just talk about, I was stupid enough to actually sign up and pay for the priveledge of chucking myself out of an aeroplane.
Don't get me wrong, I am bang up for it and… Continue

Do you know how... wanting lets your eyes pierce space? How a resolve to act can traverse this atmosphere as quick as light?....despite the threat of fire and our fear of the flames, we burst out through the roofs of our houses. Desire is a force inside us. Our mouths drop open in the rushing air. Our bodies float among stars.. and we laugh in ecstasy to know the air has wishes.... "Yes," we call out, full of ourselves and delight, "Yes," we sing, "We fly through the night."

Wrapped up Itasca - it was wet but a great camping trip. Currently on Day 1 of Breezy Point. Just wrapped up dinner on the deck, mini putt golf at the Pirate's Cove followed by go-carting. Glad to have that out of the way.
Wife is reading books to the boys right now at 10:30. I can't remember the last time they were in bed before 10 and they are 4 and 7 years old. Grandma and Grandpa were in town for the birth of their fourth of four girl cousins so they've been up late (no boys and we're prett… Continue
