I think I was fortunate in the packing, because at DBurg they taught me to pack from my second or third jump on, and by my first freefall (from the static line progression), I was packing unassisted!

Are any of your trips to DZs next year? What other DZs do you plan to visit? DeLand is pretty sweet, although they don't have a specified left or right pattern, and their jumpruns tend to be all over to avoid clouds. Zhills (near DeLand) is also very nice! They have an interesting landing area and some nice planes! I think the jumps there are cheap too! I'm actually heading there on Friday.

When the door opened at the altitude to exit (10,500 feet), I naturally thought, "What am I doing?" BUT...I LOVED THE SKYDIVE! As for when I'll jump again, that is up in the air thanks to the economy and other obligations (family). Christa, I would LOVE to jump again and jump SOLO...and I will leave it at that.

As for gear, I bought used gear and then just bought a new canopy to replace the old one when I got more experience. My main advice is not to downsize too soon.... take your time and don't let anyone talk you into a smaller canopy before you are ready. Congrats on your new sport. It is the BEST. Cielo azul.....
